Ohio Glass Blowing Artist Ken Carter
This
Ohio glass blowing artist produces hand blown glass at his studio in Canton,
Ohio. His intention is to investigate early American blown glass shapes
and methods, as well as the influences European glass making has had on
them.
He is particularly interested in the techniques of Italian, Czech, German and English masters, but does not limit himself to their aesthetics.
His work also reveals a fascination with the optics of glass and the resulting transformation of space. The artist creates many pieces alone, utilizing an assistant for the more complicated works.
